Le Thatch is a thatching business located North of South Africa, in Polokwane Limpopo Province. As a Polokwane based business, it focuses mainly on serving areas surrounding Polokwane. The founder of the business was Mr Lourens Engelbrecht. He established the business in November 1980 with a team having only one thatcher and two assistant labourers. Since its inception the business has grown in leaps and bounds. Mike Roos took over from Lourens Engelbrecht at the end of 2017 and continues to provide quality thatching solutions.
With the quality of workmanship Le Thatch provides its clients enjoy a service that exceeds all standard and specification requirements set by the South African Thatching Association, South African Bureau of Standards and the C.S.I.R. It is one of the few European contractors having successful projects in plenty remote areas such as Kruger National Park (Crooks Corner), Pontdrift on the Botswana border, Groblersbrug, Vaalwater, Bela Bela, Marloth Park, Tuli Block in Botswana. Their areas of specialty are traditional thatching, African thatching, for Braai areas; Spa's, Paving, Swimming pools and rock art. Whether one has a new frame work to be built, repair work or renovations to be done. Le Thatching is always eager to be of service.
